Castles

Pertek Castle is in Pertek province, was constructed during Mengüçlüler period. The castle, which is currently under Keban Dam Lake and have an appearnce of an island, that established on a steep rock. The castle, which remained from Seljukians, is repaired during the Ottomans. There are lots of castle ruins of Urartu period, in Mazgirt province. These are Malazgirt Castle, Dedebağ, Kaleköyü and Sağman Castles.
